  (a) calcarious material like limestone,chalk etc.
  (b) argilacious material like clay or shale etc.

above ingradients are mixed in 2:1proportions and after the fine grinding . it is heated at 1400-1500°C .
after burning we get the cement clinkers Now it is mixed with zypsum and using the process -
1. Dry process.
2. wet process.
- Dry process is economical as compared to the wet process.
